Got a lot going on!!! Welcome to the Hobby News On Line!! This is the first issue in this format. Please let me know how it goes over with you. I started writing it and it just kept getting longer and longer and longer. Lots of new things popped up in February. The world is a tense place these days. Its nice to have a hobby to retreat to. There's something in the coming months for everyone! The year is of to an exciting start. Plans for this year's cons are developing nicely. The first is rapidly approaching! Noteworthy is the Modeler of the Year Quarterly Contest Series that IPMS Centennial is taking to the public in the area hobby shops. The contest will rotate among the Colorado Springs area stores. Mecha modeling, the fastest growing category in the industry, is also the subject of choice of several events in the region this year. The next issue should have even more new events listed. There are several that only need a date! Members of the Front Range hobby community have been called to active duty in the impending conflict in the Persian Gulf. We will miss them at meetings and shows. I am sure we all wish for their swift and safe return. Tom Grossman |
